P1 Group recently helped design an energy recovery system that can help save thousands of dollars on utility costs.
The major components to the system include a diverter valve, interconnecting duct and a 99.9% efficient HEPA filter bank. P1 Group’s skilled sheet metal workers took the drawings from its in-house design team and built and erected the components needed so as to create a cost-effective and custom fit.
The diverter valve will redirect exhaust air from a dust-collecting baghouse and send it through to the HEPA filter bank, which will then circulate the air into make-up air units.
To achieve 99.9% efficient filtration, P1 developed a special wedge-style system to lock the HEPA filter in place and ensure a secure seal.
All in all, it took 320 hours of shop labor and 10,000 pounds of metal to fabricate this job.
